HWPen: A Handwriting Recognition App for iPod TouchA Modmyifone forum post possibly reveals a beta version of the handwriting recognition. The application used is called HWPen which is for jailbroken iPhones and iPod  It was developed by the companyHanwang.com.cn are seems similar to how the Newton used handwriting recognition. It appears to be the same software available for Palm devices. As of now it appears the recognition needs some tweaking when it come to Western characters because it was designed to be used with the chinese language, but is expected to get some minor updates in the near future.
